Jelena Sinik
Animated Filmmaker & Illustrator

Jelena Sinik is a talented, award-winning Animated Filmmaker, internationally displayed designer & published Illustrator from Sydney.

Jelena graduated a Master of Animation degree at the University of Technology Sydney in 2018. She was awarded The School of the Arts and Media Prize 2014 for best performance in the University of New South Wales Bachelor of Media (Screen and Sound) degree, from which she graduated with distinction in 2014.

​

Jelena works as a freelance animator, designer and illustrator for clients in the public art, education and entertainment sectors. In 2018, she was commissioned by a Sydney studio as 2D Character Animator for the award-winning Customs House projection show in VIVID 2018. She is currently teaching at the School of Arts Media at UNSW, since 2019. Her published illustrations have been featured in publications like Marie Claire Australia.

Jelena has won numerous awards for her animated films and has been festival-screened internationally numerous times. She was named the 2018 ATOM Award winner for Best Tertiary Animation in Australia for her UTS graduate film 'On'.
